Lyrics
I woke up thinking, "Yeah, today feels right," But life had its own plans hiding out of sight.
My dog walks over, calm as can be,
Limping like she's fine—doesn't wanna worry me.
Then the doggy gate fell, landed right on my toe,
I hopped around the hallway like a bad late-night show.
Hit my back on the toilet—because of course—
Running ten minutes late like it's a timed-out sport.
But hey, some days just fall apart this way, All you can do is laugh and say—
Bring on the bruised toe, bring on the sore back,
Bring on the moments that throw me off track.
I don't have a partner to carry the weight,
No one to meet me at the door saying, "Babe, it's okay."
But I've got good people who listen when I say,"
Today was a mess—but tomorrow's another day."
My dog keeps limping but she's acting all tough,
Like, "Nothing's wrong with me, I can handle this stuff."
She's got that silent courage that makes you smile,
Just walking on three legs like it's only for a while.
And me? I'm wobbling too—but it's fine, I swear,
Sometimes life is awkward, sometimes it's unfair.
But bruises fade, and pain drifts away,
And bad days don't get to stay.
Maybe love will find me when the time is right,
But for now, I've got stories to tell at night.
Life's all perspective—what you choose to see,
And I'm learning to laugh at what tries to break me.
So bring on the bruised toe, bring on the sore back,
Bring on the plot twists that knock me off track.
I may be doing this solo, but I'm okay,
Finding the bright side in the chaos each day.
Yeah, today was ridiculous in its own special way—
But tomorrow—tomorrow will be another day.
So here's to the hiccups that make life wild,
To my brave little dog and the mess of the mile.
We'll heal up soon, come what may—
Tomorrow's waiting to start a new day.
